Enactus Cologne X Ghana – Building Bridges for Sustainable Innovation

🌍 Purpose of the Trip
With our delegation trip to Ghana, Enactus Cologne aimed to expand its network in West Africa and explore partnerships for Rivopump, Save the Grain, and future impact-driven initiatives. We wanted to connect with local organizations, start-ups, and universities that drive sustainable innovation – and identify shared pathways for collaboration.

🤝 Key Learnings & Outcomes
The trip was a great success: We gained valuable insights into entrepreneurial, social, and educational structures in Ghana. Meetings with the GIZ, AHK Ghana, Soronko Academy, and Enactus Ghana highlighted the urgent need for hands-on, sustainable solutions.

Our biggest takeaway: collaboration is key. From open discussions on business models to inspiring encounters with passionate founders, we experienced the power of shared purpose and cultural exchange.

🗓️ Trip Highlights
Day 1 – Accra:
Meetings with GIZ, AHK Ghana, Soronko Academy, and Enactus Ghana.
Strong interest in our projects, especially Rivopump and Save the Grain.
Day 2 – Accra:
Visits to DAAD Ghana, the Ghanaian-European Centre, and the Postharvest Innovation Hub.
Insightful discussions on education, agritech, and sustainable development.
Day 3–4 – Kumasi:
Exchange with KNUST and the Carisca Innovation Lab on digital learning, supply chains, and innovation ecosystems.
💛 Conclusion
This journey showed how students can act as bridges between continents, cultures, and ideas.
We return with valuable partnerships, inspiration, and a shared mission: driving sustainable impact together with our Ghanaian partners.
